This is my first ever income report that I published on any of my website! I decide to publish my monthly income reports but as we are in first month of year 2013 and I just back to work after one month vacation (In Dec 2012 I got married to my beautiful GF:-)) it is better to see how I did in 2012!
All my income in 2012 came from Google Adsense and in future I am looking forward to start affiliate marketing and earn some money. I do have bluehost affiliates and I did completed one sell in 2012 but I didn’t received any money yet because of some tax-form issues.
A Little Story - I got my adsense account in Apr 2011 and during that year I only earned couple of checks as I wasn’t familiar with SEO, owning a blog and Niche websites! I read a lot about those things and followed the people that are making big in adsense, finally I able to broke a profitable niche in 2012 which in later parts of 2012 made me five figure income.
I brought many Exact match domains in 2012 and built few websites around it and in oct 2012 Google rolled out EMD updates but I am glad that one of my website still rank well and pour some money in my account 
(I will not reveal my niche as I do have enough competition)
In May 2012 I launched my second niche website and done some backlinking around it, it is my most successful website ever, it also brought me $870 in one day!!
Income Sources -
- Google Adsense – $34,201
- Affiliate Marketing – $65
This was a very successful year for me and because of this five figure income from Adsense that my websites brought me, I can able to leave my full time job from hospital (yes I am a doc) and concentrate on SRI to become full time blogger
What I learned?
- Most important thing I learned this year is ‘Basics Of SEO’ which brought me this huge success and given me control over my life. Process of leveraging the system(INTERNET) is AWESOME …it gives tremendous relief to me!
- Second thing I learned is to develop Facebook fan page for my sites. One of my niche website’s Facebook page gathered more than 1k fans within a year! I am working on developing one such page for SRI and will add the same soon!
- Many other small things I have learned over this year, it is difficult to write down all of them. I learned that being trustworthy and hard working can bring massive success.
What Planned Ahead?
I planned many thing for 2013, of which building Smart Residual Income as a brand and to gain readership will be my priority. Now days I am reading a lot about affiliate marketing and planned to built a business around it; though it is a long process and hard to crack the markets I will drive in!!

Excellent info and congrats on such a successful year with AdSense! I still have to master AdSense myself a bit more. For now, I tend to focus on Kindle publishing as it brings a nice check every month. Not huge, but it does keep growing every month. I, too, have many income reports in my blog and my goal is to earn a few thousands monthly by the end of the year.

Yeah, my earning sounds good but it took a lot hard and smart work. My goal for 2012 was also to earn minimum $ 1k per month and I glad that I achieved it.
